We have introduced a new integrated event system for all our virtual and in-person events, conferences, webinars and roundtables. To book onto an event you will first need to register for a CFA UK account before you can secure your place. Going forward you will then be able to login to view all your event bookings.

Events and networking

CFA UK offers an extensive programme of professional development, webinars, conferences and networking events. These events keep members up-to-date with the latest insights and developments in the investment profession and give them the opportunity to network with members.

Conferences

CFA UK’s series of half day conferences form a core part of the society’s continuing education programme. Our range of targeted conferences reflects the diversity of the investment profession and members can select the conferences that most align to their career and interests. All events feature senior level speakers delivering the latest industry intelligence and practical insights alongside excellent networking opportunities.

The half-day conference programme covers Behavioural Finance; Equities; Professionalism; Fixed Income; Markets and Strategy; and Alternative Assets.

Wednesday Webinars

Wednesday webinars at one are our series of free, live, online events which you can attend from anywhere and any timezone. Every Wednesday at 1pm, we host a 40-minute webinar featuring an expert speaker discussing a pressing topic in the investment world with the opportunity for participants to ask questions live online. The webinars are then made available to view on the Knowledge Centre the following week.

Topics include asset allocation with dumb alpha, remaking the corporate bond market, Saudi Arabia, understanding factor investing, the laws of wealth, Brexit and the dark side of financial statement analysis.

Continuing Education

We run around 60 continuing education and careers events each year, covering a range of topics that are relevant to all job areas and levels of experience.

Our events attract over 3,000 unique members annually who are looking to network and explore their career options.

CFA UK’s careers events programme is a core part of our member services offer and includes around 15 events per year.

CFA Societies Passport Program

CFA UK is a member of the CFA Societies Passport Program which allows members of participating CFA societies to attend other's society events at the local member price. When you travel, contact the local society using the Society Directory to learn about eligible events and other networking opportunities.
